What makes us different among the sea of other photographers?

Selfies, we see them everyday on our feeds, we scroll through and we also read the comments that credit the person who took shot. The term photographer is now a generic term, where it’s taken for granted and is used to describe people who take cheap shots with no special attribute.

Different angles, composed lighting, and organised outfits are what starts making a photo look and feel more unique. What our thought processes are when photographing are also what seperates us from the others who only shoot when their friends ask them, was there a consideration toward how bright or dark it was?

Probably, but was there a need to direct our models or friends, was their face facing away from something or was their legs and arms out of place? The little details of how we shift between angles is significant when we snap photos.

Are we willing to lie on the ground to capture something possibly more stunning or are we confident that what we shot is decent enough or do we want to reshoot that same shot but from a different perspective?

What goes through our minds when we press the shutter determines whether we belong to one of the many sub-sets of photographers or to the group that only snaps simply because it looks nice.

The way we choose to shoot and the choice we make based on the lighting and angles is what makes us different from any other photographer. Our attention to every little detail and all the hours that go into post production to make every picture looks right.
